Ultrasound
Diagnostic &
Injection Guidance
Many injuries can be evaluated with ultrasound right here in our office, saving you time and money. Early diagnosis often decreases healing time and
improves outcomes!
The medical literature is clear: using ultrasound to guide procedures increases the safety and efficacy of injections. Optimizing your care is our priority at Trailhead Med!

Platelet Rich Plasma
Injections
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an injection that utilizes concentrated platelets spun down in a centrifuge and separated from your own blood. Research has also shown that platelets contain special growth factors, which can stimulate the body to heal its own tissue.
PRP can be used to treat chronic tendon injuries such as tennis elbow, patellar tendonitis, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and rotator cuff tears. Recent research is showing that PRP may also be helpful for treating joint arthritis as well.

Prolotherapy
Injections
In prolotherapy, various solutions (often Dextrose) are injected into injured tissues causing localized inflammation. This stimulates the body’s own immune response, recruiting growth and healing factors to the area.
Prolotherapy is primarily used to treat chronic ligament and tendon injuries such as ankle sprains, tennis & golfer’s elbow, rotator cuff tendonitis, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, sacroiliac injuries, etc. Prolotherapy can also effectively manage carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve conditions.

Concussion Care
Concussions are complex, but finding the right treatment plan doesn't have to be.
From diagnosis to return to play,
Trailhead Med is your concussion expert.

Gait Analysis
Detailed evaluation of your run form with feedback and individualized training plan for correction of biomechanical errors.
Non-Operative Fracture Care
In-office evaluation of injury
Coordination of reduced-price imaging
Splinting/Casting/Bracing as needed
If you have a known fracture, please obtain a disc from the Radiology department where your imaging was completed and bring it to your appointment.
Dr. Peebles may request to review the imaging before your appointment to ensure that you have an appropriate and timely care plan.

Hydrodilitation
for Frozen Shoulder
Frozen shoulder is a condition where the range of motion in your shoulder becomes progressively decreased after a painful injury. The mechanism behind this process is poorly understood and it can take months to years for it to resolve.
Hydrodilitation is an in-office procedure where a high volume of sterile saline and medication is injected into the shoulder capsule under ultrasound-guidance to stretch the shoulder capsule. This injection is paired with OMT and/or manual therapy (coordinated with your physical therapist). Hydrodilitation can significantly improve your range of motion and decrease pain related to frozen shoulder.
